The biggest festival of Bengal received a grand salute at the historic Red Road of Kolkata, where as many as 68 of the city’s most acclaimed Durga idols along with Durga’s entourage, paraded for the second consecutive year,this October 3. The extravaganza, touted only second to the famous Rio Carnival, was organised by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and witnessed by around 25,000 people, including several of her ministers.
