The trainees have undergone a wide variety of training so that it would be easy for them to face real-life situations. Apart from activities that include engaging in literary clubs, current affairs club, social service club, law club, sports & adventure club, culture & computer clubs and film & photography club, the trainees have had many practical exposures in dealing with natural disasters. At the flood-and-landslide-ravaged Kodagu the trainees participated in relief and rescue operations. At Malnad and Karkala they were trained in the operations of anti-naxal forces.”
