To create awareness among people about the dangers of coronavirus and the need to keep them safe, the Kolkata Police launched a ‘Mask-up Kolkata’ drive under the leadership of city Police Commissioner Anuj Sharma.
“Always wear a mask,” the Police Commissioner tweeted, while launching the awareness drive.
Under the campaign, masks were distributed to people.
The police distributed masks at various traffic intersections to those who forgot to wear them, requesting them not to forget again, and urged them to use hand wash and alcohol-based sanitisers and maintain social distance.
