I am pleased to present to the readers the inaugural issue of Protector magazine and congratulate the team of New Media Communication, the publishers of the magazine. The magazine has been consistent in its efforts in highlighting the good work done by police and has been widely acknowledged for its informative content in the states of Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar and more recently CRPF. It has served as an effective vehicle in bridging the gap between the police and the public. With changing times the policing duties have become challenging particularly due to widespread adoption of technology by the public and threat of possible terrorist activities. In these times, therefore it is very crucial that we citizens work in close coordination with the police and support them in their policing efforts. Community policing I would say, is the need of the hour. Protector as a magazine has done a commendable job and played a significant role in promoting this police public partnership. My best wishes to them, I am sure the team of New Media will continue their good work with Karnataka Protector too and provide enriching and informative content to the readers.
