The Nashik Police, under the leadership of its Commissioner of Police – Vishwas Nagare Patil (IPS), has utilized the lockdown period by starting new initiatives under its belt. The CP inaugurated a new hall and gyms which are named after legendary officers who had served in Nashik.

The Commissioner posted a note about the eventful day on his social media account. It stated: “We have started new initiatives during the lockdown and named them after our late legendary officers who served in Nashik – Arwind Competitive Exam Centre and Study Room, Bhishmraj Meeting Hall, and the Himanshu Police Club and Rest House. We have also started an open gym and garden ‘Arunodyan’, so named after HC Arun Tongare, who sacrificed his life battling COVID-19. We salute and pay our tribute to these great men in uniform.”
