I am pleased to know that the Gujarat Police, in collaboration with New Media Group, is launching ‘The Protector’ magazine in Gujarat. The magazine will highlight and promote the good work done by the police in various fields.
The Police Force works round the clock to maintain law and order in the State. They serve 365 days of the year for the safety and security of the citizens. However, despite their good work, they are rarely appreciated. Criticizing the police for its shortcomings is the norm rather than the exception. The police must be acknowledged for its good work which is worthy of appreciation.
Law and order situation bears directly on the development of the State, and the centrality of the police in this area cannot be overstated. The Gujarat Government is aware of this fact and, therefore, has taken up the work of filling up the existing vacancies on a priority basis.
I hope this magazine will highlight the good work done by Gujarat Police.
